KĀlayantram - 2020: Kathalatō... Charitralōki.

von Sai Papineni   (Autor)

KÄlayantram is an initiative of author-historian Sai Papineni. It is observed that in the past few generations, the changing priorities of education have marginalized the learning of humanities, and especially the study of history in schools, resulting in a complete lack of literature in Telugu focusing on the history of its speakers. The purpose of the initiative is to create a corpus of historical stories in Telugu and reach the genre to the vernacular readership. In order to do so a series of seminars and workshops are set in motion to enourage eminent and popular writers to take up historical fiction. KÄlayantram 2020 is a collection of 15 stories by eminent authors, first in the series of many to come, set in the long and veritable past of the Telugu speaking regions. The stories vary in human content, style and historical contexts from the earliest times to recent past. Each of the stories is well researched, thought provoking and has a strong sense of the collective legacy of the Andhra people. KÄlayantram - Brace yourself for an exciting journey into past.
