In this book I attempt to map the borders, the point of intersection, and the points of divergence, from an "Asia-first" perspective. By looking at the popular culture world this way, this book identifies for the reader the stakes involved in neglecting to do a critical examination and hopes to effect an appreciating for the interstices between the cultural spaces.
